Tips to decorate your table this Christmas
The joy of celebrating Christmas at home
This year, Christmas is at my house! Tips to be the best hostess.
It's all about being organized and preparing everything in advance.
It all starts with defining the people who will be seated at the table; if you don't have enough chairs in the dining room, bring some from the study, from the kitchen, and mix and match them.
Choose your tablecloth or placemats. Don't have one big enough? Buy some fabric, hem it, and it will be ready. Table runners are also a good choice.
Dinnerware, cutlery, napkins, and glassware don't have to match. Nowadays, it's stylish to combine them and make them shine, creating the perfect combination of all elements.
Try not to place pieces of the same style together; instead, intersperse them.
Add a focal point to your table, whether it's a dominant color in the tablecloth or dinnerware, or candles.
As you can see, it's all about harmonizing. Don't forget to include some elements on the table such as stars, deer, or snowflakes, and of course, flower arrangements with poinsettias, pines, and seasonal foliage will always add a warm touch to your table.
I also suggest you do this a few days before Christmas Eve. If you can't set the table beforehand, at least visualize how you'd like it to look on that day.
And now, enjoy being the hostess this Christmas!
Here are some table setting ideas to celebrate Christmas Eve with family.
