DIY Ideas for Decorating Pumpkins

Decorating pumpkins with acrylic paint and patterns can be a creative and fun autumn activity! Here are some ideas to inspire you:

Autumn leaves and flowers in yellow/orange tones: Paint autumn leaves on the pumpkin's surface. Use warm colors like orange, red, and yellow to give it a seasonal touch.

Pumpkins with butterflies: We love this idea as it adds a very cute touch. Monarch butterflies are the most suitable for this season; they are beautiful! You can paint the background a color and then outline the butterfly with a black Sharpie.

Pumpkins with words or messages: Write inspiring words or seasonal messages on the pumpkin. Use elegant or cursive lettering to give it a special touch! We used "La Violetera" in lilac tones to decorate our flower shop.

Lilac and yellow tones: We really like this color palette, so we combined purple hydrangeas and yellow flowers to create a pattern that stands out and looks beautiful!

With dried flowers: Drying flowers is very simple (you can find the step-by-step guide on our blog). Once you have your dried flowers, you can use them to decorate many surfaces by applying glue. Then, with a few touches of paint, the design of this pumpkin was complemented very well!
