7 Tips for Orchid Care

Orchid Care

The orchid is a popular flower associated with perfection, love, beauty, luxury, fertility, and childhood. Orchids are the perfect choice for home decoration or floral arrangements.

Here are some very useful tips for caring for your orchid.

  1. If the plant is in bark, water once a week; if it's in moss, water every 15 days.
  2. Water thoroughly and allow the water to drain completely.
  3. Place in a location with plenty of light, but not direct sunlight, as this will burn them.
  4. The plant's roots require sunlight, which is why the pots they are in are transparent.
  5. Fertilize every 15 days with granular fertilizer for African violets (dilute the fertilizer in water and put it in a spray bottle, then apply to the plant for better absorption).
  6. Once the flowers on the spike have faded, cut the spike 2cm above the last node to stimulate bud growth and re-flowering.
  7. Orchids do not like too much water or direct sunlight; an excess of these factors increases the risk of fungal or bacterial diseases.
